Confidentiality of patient information is of our utmost concern. Patient’s medical information is stored using MedDBase, a secure electronic medical record portal which only Your Private GP Service Ltd doctors have access to. Contemporaneous information is recorded wherever possible, to maintain high accuracy and for the purposes of healthcare provision by the healthcare provider. Your records will be kept for as long as required as per the British Medical Association Guidelines. You have the right to access your medical records and request a copy of the records we hold. Any such request should be made in writing.
Your medical records will be kept confidential and names and addresses are not made available to other organisations. In the event of onward referral of your care, these details will need to be included in the relevant referral. The doctors at Your Private GP Service may need to breech confidentiality in certain circumstances such as if a patient is a threat to themselves or others.
Your Private GP Service Ltd undertakes to comply with its obligations under Data Protection Legislation and recognises that it is a Data Processor as defined under section 1 of the DPA. We may use your data to provide you with information about goods and services that may be of interest to you. We may contact you about these by email, post or telephone.
If we contact you with sensitive information by electronic means, this will be done utilising a secure e-mail provider called Egress Switch.
The anonymised anonymous aggregated medical data may be used for quality control and research or statistical purposes. The personal data will not be transferred to any third party for any purpose unless the patient has consented to the release of such information.
We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions without notice.
